Bloblet: Heavenly – Excuse Me

After three decades of silence, Heavenly are back — not with nostalgia, but with sparkle, bite, and purpose.

Their new single + video Excuse Me lands as pure indie pop electricity: nervous energy, teenage romance, sugar-rush melodies, and a rush of punk spirit bubbling just under the surface. It’s sweet, sharp, and gloriously uncool in the best way — a love song for the nerdiest boy in school, delivered with the kind of joy that makes the world feel briefly fixable.

The track comes from their upcoming album Highway To Heavenly (out Feb 27, 2026 via Skep Wax), the band’s first new full-length in 30 years — and it sounds like a group who never stopped believing pop could be emotional, political, and beautifully human all at once.

Born from the original indie pop underground — Sarah Records in the UK, K Records in the US — Heavenly return with music that pushes back against today’s cold, macho noise. This is pop as refuge. Pop as resistance. Pop as community.

With original members Amelia Fletcher, Cathy Rogers, Peter Momtchiloff, Rob Pursey, now joined by Ian Button, the new Heavenly are hitting the road in 2026 with sold-out dates and a new generation of fans already singing along.

If you ever loved indie pop because it felt like home — this is the door opening again.
